Thin Santa Claus strikes blow against obesity - Telegraph.co.uk(Childhood Obesity News)

A health-conscious Santa Claus is refusing to wear a pillow under his suit because he fears it may promote child obesity. Bill Winton, a slim 80-year-old, said if children viewed chubby Father Christmas as a role model they could grow up thinking that it was alright to be overweight. He decided to remove his extra padding after noticing the young children sitting on his knee had become heavier over the years. He said he was proud of the fact that he had a healthy diet and did not consume sugary drinks. Read Childhood Obesity
