VIRGINIA BEACH – A first step in the fight against childhood obesity is to diagnose it. Members of the Consortium for Infant and Child Health – CINCH– say it’s a community problem and the community can help solve it. A machine that measures a child’s body mass index or BMI could be a big help. It takes about a minute to get your BMI and up to 1,000 kids a day can be measured.
