Similar clinics may be opened across the country, to combat a growing threat to children’s health, says public health directorate head of nutrition Dr Khairiya Moosa. She also warned parents not to let children gorge themselves during the summer school break, saying many children suffered weight surges during the long holiday. Forty-eight children have already been put under treatment for obesity at the new National Bank of Bahrain Obesity and Health Centre, Arad.
