Doctors say the extra body fat is actually changing the genetic disposition of children. The data looks good it looks safe but we don’t know how it will impact children who are on the drug for 8 or 10 years. The fear is that 8 to 10 year olds with high cholesterol could suffer a lifetime of damage to their cardio vascular system. Murray says the best option is to stop the problem before it starts.
