The two-day conference is sponsored by the masters’s of public administration program. It will bring together experts from a variety of backgrounds including public health, public schools and medicine to discuss childhood obesity prevention and how communities can promote healthy lifestyles, said Kant Patel, director of the MPA program at MSU and chair of the conference planning committee. The registration fee for both days of the conference is $40, which includes lunch. The conference is sponsored through a grant from the College of Humanities and Public Affairs and support from health-related community organizations.
