NINE out of ten Bucks children could be overweight by 2050 was the warning issued by the county council’s health bosses this week. Bucks County Council Overview and Scrutiny Committee for Public Health Services compiled the report which said action had to be taken before the life expectancy of a Bucks resident was reduced by up to nine years. It recommends that maintaining support for hot school meals and encouraging daily exercise were the keys to bucking the trend. Police closed down a large section of the A413 after a cyclist died in a collision on the Gerrards Cross stretch of the road. Read Childhood Obesity
