Michelle Obama launched the initiative Let’s Move to tackle childhood obesity and get children to be active and eat healthier. This campaign will help provide healthier food in schools, get kids to be more physically active, and make healthier foods accessible and affordable. The group works with retailers, schools and community members in Tehama County, as well as 11 other North State counties. If the epidemic continues there is evidence this is the first generation of children who will have a shorter life expectancy than their parents. Read Childhood Obesity
