MILLIKEN — Often the words exercise and entertaining don’t end up in the same sentence, but Tammy Gesick, owner of Curves, is looking to change that with a summer camp aimed at combating childhood obesity. This summer members of Curves, a fitness center for women, can bring their daughters between the ages of 8-18 to work out with them for no additional charge. At the end of the summer the team with the most points will win prizes, Gesick said. Gesick notes with the advent of computers, video games and cell phones kids are more apt to remain inside for entertainment then go outside and play.
