Kansas City, MO - May 22, 2009 - PE4life, a national non-profit organization based out of Kansas City, MO is hosting a presentation at the Olmstead Center at Drake University in Des Moines, IA at 8am on Tuesday, June 9, to discuss and share with school leaders its plans for expanding into the Des Moines area and other surrounding communities in the state of Iowa. This presentation is designed to educate school district leaders, as well as physical educators and department chairs about PE4life and the positive measurable and sustainable results of implementing a PE4life program within their school. PE4life is thrilled to initiate and witness the positive outcomes of another community that has executed the step-by-step implementation program. The strategy for bringing PE4life into Des Moines, as well as other surrounding areas throughout the state has been made possible through the commitment of supportive members of Congress, like Iowa Senator Tom Harkin. PE4life is a national non-profit service organization dedicated to promoting wellness through fun and interactive physical activity in school, community and corporate settings. As of March 2008, PE4life has trained 218 teams of more than 1,700 educators, administrators, community and business leaders from 38 states across the US and 9 countries around the world.
